Virgin Island Chart - purchased for a beautiful mega yacht's saloon.
My nautical charts are completely my own style, a mix of imagination and reality. I created each chart for myself, showing the place I was living, sailing and diving. I wanted them current and correct. Showing the names and location of the bays and towns I was enjoying. Yet in an old world style, using India ink and watercolor washes, and embellishing with sailing ships, my mermaids, sea monsters and small island vignettes covering every scrap of available paper. To me, this combination formed a synergy, and spliced the present with the past. I’ve enjoyed creating my charts in Belize, Honduras, Thailand, drifting around the Caribbean, and now in the BVI. Like each place - each chart has it’s own character.
All charts are available as fine art print on archival paper or canvas - or as custom ceramic tile murals.
