I loved carving this piece. I've drawn and painted this monkey and his brothers several times over the years. It is one of those images forever etched in my mind and drawn from memories ...Just setting on my deck at sunrise, having a great cup of coffee, watching the monkeys in the trees. ...Bliss Moments.
Mayan heiroglyphs often work their way into my artwork. In the cartouche - sunrise above; the sun glyph is the round circle with the 4 dots inside, the sun glyph is edging between the two glyphs for heaven and earth, and followed by the glyph for the moon in 3 phases. Sunrise.
"Reef Fish" I enjoyed playing with the open fret work and waves.

The carved spiral - with 4 compass points is my mark - meaning you can grow and travel in any direction - and still you grow and circle your soul.
These are my first pendants - from of my newest sculptures. (yes, I make the moulds to cast these in too).
Compass Turtle and Jelly Fish - Riding a Wave.
The back; Lapis Lazuli and a sliver of a dreamy moon over a sun (approximately 1.25"w x 1.5"h). Sculpted from one of my ink drawings - that I have retired.
"Rastafarian Lion" The three bars behind the Lion represent the Ethiopian flag. On the back; I carved in the Star of David, a leaf and my spiral.
This piece is so heavy! Solid Pure Silver BOLD approximately 1 7/8"w x 2"h To my island Rasta friends; One love.
"Transformation" A Shaman in ritual dance to become his animal self, calling for the wisdom of the Jaguar.
Approximately 1.25"w x 2"h A temple in the background, and the Mayan Glyph - Sky Band - runs across the top.

Today, I'm sculpting a new piece; Tree of Life - is a wide curved band of tree leaves and limbs with Central America animals; Jaguar, Toucan, Parrot, Iguana, Hummingbird, Snake, + fruit, flowers... approximately 2.5" x 7.25" in heavy silver - but delicate in design. I'm working this piece - in the same style I used when creating the Sunrise pendant. I'll post it when it is on my wrist;)
