A Soul's Journey. Egyptian Barque Painting, Serti Technique on Silk 21” x 27” by Savanna Redman

A scared barque - traveling the celestial Nile of the afterlife. A boat laced with symbolism and style. Inspired by a section of a Nineteenth Dynasty painting in the tomb of Irynefer. Irynefer, with a winged scarab on his necklace, is standing in a pose of respect toward the Gray Heron; a sacred bird that represents the ba or soul. Irynefer is carrying a staff with the feather of Matt - representing soul’s value or truth. Ra’s sun disks and power shining down on all, the eye of Udiet a symbol of sanctity and diving grace painted on the side of the boat, and the protective eye of Horus (the wadjet) floats above the prow - all adding to the protection and divinity of this journey.
My paintings are available as fine art prints and as custom tile murals. Paintings on tile can be installed indoor or out.
Archival Giclee prints are available framed or unframed; six size options, several paper options, and you literally have thousands of combinations for custom framing. First click on my print shop at http://savanna.imagekind.com (or prints in the left side bar), click on Galleries, and then click on Silk Paintings.
You will see the Customize button by the image you've selected, click customize, and you now have several options. Select size. For paper options, I like the Enhanced Matte (when I'm having to budget it) and Somerset Velvet - when I'm doing a show (it's a heavier, thicker paper that looks great). Both are archival. Just depends on the budget.
If you would like canvas, I'm offering a special this month of 20% off the Large, Grande and Massive size canvas prints. E-mail me for the discount - I'd need to process the order for you, using Visa or MC.
The framing offered here is very reasonably priced.I have not found a frames shop that beats it for custom work. I have ordered all of my prints framed, with and without mats, both look good.
Shipping, framed or unframed, is fast and reasonable via FedEx; ground 3-5 days, 2nd day and overnight. If you have any questions, or problems with this website navigation just let me know, I'm happy to help.
